DAY TO DAY TASKS
Contract Review and Management:

Review, draft, and negotiate contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contracts.
Legal Support:

Provide legal advice and support to the underwriting departments.
Assist in the interpretation and application of insurance laws and regulations.
Support the development and implementation of underwriting policies and procedures.
Collaborate and communicate as required with external partners, such as loss adjusters, external legal advisers and brokers.
Litigation and Dispute Resolution:

Assist in managing and resolving legal disputes involving the company.
Support the preparation of legal documents and representation in court if required.
Risk Management:

Oversee, run and manage local branch risk activities, including the Branch Risk Committees.
Work closely with the Company’s Risk Management function, including regular reporting and contribute to company related activities.
Identify and report risk events, ensure remedial actions are in place.
Advise and support Branch management on risk management matters.
Community cooperation:

Engage in day-to-day communication with legal colleagues in other countries where the company operates to ensure consistency and compliance across jurisdictions.
Cooperate within the legal community on the development and implementation of new products and distribution models.
Facilitate the sharing of best practices and legal insights across the company’s operations.
